Venus Aphrodite

A personal project developed during lockdown, reinterpreting Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus through a contemporary, digital lens.

Drawing on themes of beauty, identity and mythology, the work references Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, reimagined through modern culture. The central figure was inspired by Brazilian model Lea T, bringing a new perspective to a classical subject.

The process began with moodboarding, exploring colour, composition and visual references to shape the final piece.

The project extended beyond a single artwork into a series of mobile wallpapers, designed for digital use and distribution. It was launched on Instagram, using the platform as both a showcase and storytelling tool.
